Elberton City Council to Hold August Meeting this Evening

August 5, 2013

Not a whole lot on the agenda this evening for the Elberton City Council, as they hold their regular meeting for the month of August later.

No ordinances or resolutions are on the docket, but there are several speakers scheduled to appear before council this evening.

Speakers will bring forward issues such as the White’s Chapel Community water project, the Keep Elbert County Beautiful Campaign, and the tweaks to the city’s recycling and leaf-limb pickup.

Also expected to take place this evening will be a special recognition of the Japanese exchange students from Miri, Japan, as apart of the Elberton Sister City Program.

This evening’s meeting will begin at 5:30pm, and will be held in the council chambers at Elberton City Hall.

The public is invited to attend.
