Elberton Man Arrested on Burglary Charges

An Elberton man is behind bars after Elberton Police arrested him on burglary related charges after a botched attempt to steal from a Glendale Avenue residence.

The man, identified as 44-year old Eddie Dwayne Curry, was arrested for Criminal Attempt to Commit Burglary on August 30th, 2012. Further investigation by investigators at the Elberton Police Department; found that Curry was also involved with a home burglary that occurred at a Woodland Road address.

Curry was found to be in possession of some stolen jewelry from the Woodland Road residence, and investigators were able connect him to some previous jewelry that he had been selling.

Curry is facing charges of Criminal Attempt to Commit Burglary at the Glendale Avenue address, as well as another count of Burglary for his theft at the Woodland Road Address.
