Elberton Man Remains in Custody after September 3rd Stabbing

An Elberton man remains behind bars at the Elbert County Detention Center this morning, in connection with another stabbing incident that occurred back on September 3rd.

27-year-old Leonard Rucker III of a McKinley Street address faces an Aggravated Assault charge after stabbing another man around 10:00pm that night.

According to Elberton Police Chief Mark Welsh, the victim is recovering from injuries sustained during the incident.

Welsh said that the investigation into this case will continue by investigators from the Elberton Police Department.

Rucker remains in custody at the Elbert County Detention Center, where he also faces a misdemeanor Probation Violation charge.
