May 31, 2013

Elberton Police Investigators are looking into a string of vandalism cases that occurred in the early morning hours of Tuesday.

Around 3:00am that morning, Investigator Major Mike Seymour, said four young black males began their vandalism spree in the Edwards Street area.

He says they eventually worked their way to behind the Elberton post office.

According to Seymour one vehicle was damaged at a residence, three postal vehicles were damaged at the post office, and damage was done to some items in a yard off of Edwards Street.

He says that some suspects have been identified through surveillance footage gathered from local convenience stores and other sources.

At this time the investigation into these vandalism cases continues.
