Elberton Police Explorer Meeting Tomorrow Evening

November 13, 2013

There is still time to sign up for those Elbert County youth still interested in participating in the Elberton Police Department’s Police Explorer program.

The first Explorer meeting is scheduled for tomorrow at 7:00pm.

Elberton City Hall will be the location of the meeting.

Sergeant Macon Clark is heading up the program this year, and says this first meeting is just for information purposes.

“Its going to be just to introduce everyone to the program, and to go over with the parents and participants to give them an idea of what we will be doing this year with the program”, said Clark.

He says if a young person is still interested in participating, that they can sign up during the meeting, as they will have applications there waiting to be filled out.

In order to participate in the program, youth must be between the ages of 14-21 and must have completed the eighth grade.

For more information you can contact Sgt. Clark at the Elberton Police Department by calling (706) 213-3130.
