The transition at ElbertonNET is going smoothly after the utility provider added a few more channels to its TV service.
Elberton City Manager Lanier Dunn said it’s been about a month since the new channels were added.
“We have added new high definition channels”, said Dunn, “We added MTV, CMT, VH1, Comedy Central, Spike, and Nickelodeon. All of those have been active since the middle of December.”
Dunn says that the addition of those channels now places the number of HD Channels offered by ElbertonNET up to 50; he says that they are proud to have reached that mark.
ElbertonNET subscribers may have noticed changes to local channel nine programming. Dunn says NBC programming can no longer be carried by ElbertonNET, but said that they can still carry Eleven Alive.
“We have moved Eleven Alive to be on channel nine part of time for local news, weather, and sports”, explained Dunn. “At certain times of the day we are allowed to show Eleven Alive on channel nine.”
Dunn says that roughly ninety-five percent of the channels on ElbertonNET are provided by about six or seven different TV companies.
