Coming up on Saturday September 22nd, the Elbert Memorial Hospital’s Wellness Center will be holding their 8th Annual 5K and One Mile Fun Run race.
Lindsay McCurley, who is with the Wellness Center, says that funds raised during the run will go to benefit programs offered by the Wellness Center.
“We hold this run every year”, said McCurley. “This is to raise funds for all the different programs that we offer such as Silver Sneakers, Personal Training, and the equipment as well.
Both the One Mile Fun Run and 5K Run will end at Sutton Park down the road from the Wellness Center said McCurley.
“The fun run is gonna start at the bottom of the hill, and the 5K is going to start further up the hill. Both runs will end at the trail in Sutton Park”, explained McCurly.
Registration will be held out in front of the Wellness Center beginning at 8:00am. The Fun Run gets underway at 8:30am, and the 5K run will get started shortly afterwards at 9:00am.
Anyone wanting to participate can stop by the Wellness Center and pick up a registration form, or they can register online at www.emhcare.net.
