“Falling Back” to Standard Time this Sunday

It’s that time of year again, as this coming Monday should be one we all head into well rested.

The reason for that you might ask? Daylight savings time comes to an end this Sunday.

For many Americans, including us in Elbert County, we will “fall back” to standard time at 2:00am Sunday, November 3rd.

Why do we do this every year? Well, during World War II the United States made daylight savings time mandatory for the whole country to save wartime resources.

So don’t forget to set those clocks back this weekend, and be sure to enjoy that extra hour of sleep.
