Another extremely successful Friends Helping Friends fundraising effort is in the books.

On Thursday March 28th, the Friends Helping Friends club held another Student vs. Coaches basketball game.

This time it was to help raise funds for Honorary Senior Officer Sydney Vickery, who was diagnosed with a rare auto-immune disease last year.

FHF Head Sponsor Sandy Adams said that they had a better turnout than expected given the circumstances.

“It was senior skip day, so there were a lot of students that weren’t there, but we had students from the primary, elementary, and middle school that came and visited us”, explained Adams. “So, it really turned out great.”

After all was said and done, a grand total of $1,200 was raised for the Friends Helping Friends Club and Sydney.

Adams says that the support that this organization receives is incredible.

“The support that we have received from the community and the school system has been unbelievable”, said Adams. “Everyone has just been incredible.”

Next on the docket for the Friends Helping Friends club is their 2nd annual pageant, which is set for later this month on April 20th.
