Kicking off the weekend with a bang on Friday will be the 18th Annual Fireworks Show at Richard B. Russell State Park in Elberton, Georgia.
The show is a presentation by the Elbert County Chamber of Commerce.
Chamber President Phyllis Brooks offers some pointers to help make the experience a good one.
“Everybody coming out needs to remember to bring their lawn chairs and flashlights”, said Brooks. “One other tip we try to give people is to turn around when they come in so they are facing out of the park, so that when the fireworks show is over it will be easier for them to get out.”
She also says to keep in mind that no alcoholic beverages are allowed in the park.
“One other reminder, is that people need to remember we don’t have alcoholic beverages at the park, so if they will leave those at home, we will have a great evening”, said Brooks.
Admission into the fireworks show will be ten dollars per vehicles starting at 5:00pm on Friday, June 28th.
The fireworks are set to go off promptly at 9:20pm.
