A Franklin County man, charged in a string of burglaries over a two-year period, has pled guilty to all counts and now awaits sentencing.

21-year old Keibron Brock pled guilty in Franklin County Superior Court Tuesday morning to eight counts of burglary, one count of armed robbery, one count of aggravated assault and three counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

The crimes go back as far as November 2011.

In that case, Brock and two others, Charlton Cawthon and Qym Johnson burglarized homes in Lavonia and Martin.

But in May of this year, Brock escaped from the Franklin County jail and according to Franklin County Sheriff Stevie Thomas, was found several days later at his mother’s house on SR59.

“He was hiding in the attic of the home when officers entered the residence,” Thomas said. “He was arrested and taken to the Franklin County Detention Center.”

On Tuesday, Superior Court Judge John Bailey accepted Brock’s guilty plea on all counts.

Judge Bailey said sentencing for Brock and his co-defendants in all of the cases could come as early as next week.
