Friends Helping Friends Hosting Fundraiser for Sydney Vickery

October 2, 2013

Friends Helping Friends will be having their annual fall Student vs. Coaches Basketball game.

The game will be held at Elbert County Comprehensive High School Gym and parking will be available for visitors, says Adaptive P.E. teacher Crystal Thomas.

“Parking is available out back of the gym, and JROTC is in charge of that, so just look for one of the JROTC members in their uniforms and they will direct you where to park”, said Thomas.

The event will be held tomorrow Thursday October 3rd starting at 9:30 a.m.

The cost to attend the assembly will be $1 for students and visitors.

Students will also have the option to shoot half-court shots during half time for $1.

All money raised will go to benefit Sydney Vickery and her family for ongoing costs that they have experienced from her long-term stay at Scottish Rite.

She was diagnosed with Anti-NMDA Encephalitis a little over a year ago and is still having medical treatments on her way to recovery.

The community is invited to attend; because it is sure to be an event that will warm your heart.
