GDOT Announces Routine Maintenance for Elbert, Franklin, Hart, and Madison Counties

The Georgia Department of Transportation announces that routine maintenance will be taking place this week in Elbert, Franklin, Hart, and Madison counties.

In Elbert County a crew will trim the vegetation on State Route 72, the curbing, gutter, and under guardrail will be manually cleaned on State Route 77, and on State Route 368 crews will restore ditches.

Crews in Franklin County will repair shoulders on State Route 326. In Hart County a crew will trim the vegetation on State Route 172, and in Madison County the strip seal on State Route 98 will be repaired.

This work is expected to last from today until Friday, August 31st. Motorists should reduce their speed in these and all work zones.
