Georgia DOT Continues Work in Lincoln and Wilkes Counties

December 11, 2012

The Georgia Department of Transportation announces that work will continue this week in Lincoln and Wilkes counties.

In Lincoln County, there will be shoulder closures as crews will perform shoulder maintenance to reclaim right of way on State Routes 220 and 79.

The same work will be taking place in Wilkes County along State Routes 10 and 44. Crews will also work on roadway shoulder clipping and roadway edge repair on State Route 10 as well.

Flagmen may be used for this work. Motorists are asked to use caution, reduce their speed, and be alert to changing traffic patterns in these areas.

Work will take place between 7:30am and 4:00pm up until Thursday, December 13th; as long as weather permits.
