Georgia DOT Crews Back to Work in Northeast Georgia

The Georgia Department of Transportation again announces routine maintenance activities planned for Elbert and surrounding counties.

Crews will work today through Friday, April 18th between the hours of 7:00am and 5:30pm each day, as long as the weather allows.

Basic work continues in Elbert County, as crews will service the driveways that intersect with State Routes, 72, 17, and 79.

DOT crews in Hart County will have their hands full rebuilding the shoulders alongside State Route 77 Connection, another crew in Hart County will repair the joints in two bridges on State Route 328; a lane closure will be required for that work.

Finally, in Madison County, crews will rebuild and repair the shoulders and slopes alongside State Routes 98, 172, 8, and 106; lane closures will be in place.

Georgia DOT Officials ask that motorist traveling through these or any work zones reduce their speed, use extra caution, and be alert to changing traffic conditions.
