Vegetation trimming work by the Georgia Department of Transportation is expected to continue beginning today, as long as the weather cooperates.
DOT Crews in Elbert County will trim roadside vegetation on State Routes 368, 72, and 79 all this week until Friday November 22nd at 5:30pm.
In Hart County, crews will trim along State Route 77, and in Stephens County a crew will be mowing State Route 63.
Vegetation growing alongside State Routes can become a safety hazard for motorists by blocker their view of oncoming traffic.
Those who plan on using these roads should reduce speed, use extra caution, and be alert to changing traffic conditions.
