January 15, 2013

A look at what kind of work to expect while traveling through these counties.

The Georgia Department of Transportation announces that roadwork will continue in Lincoln and Wilkes Counties this week.

In Lincoln County, DOT crews will be performing roadway shoulder maintenance to reclaim right of way along State Route 79 from mile markers two to eighteen.

In Wilkes County, the same work will take place, along with roadway shoulder clipping and roadway edge rut repair. All of this work will be done on State Route 10 between mile markers one and eight.

Work will last this week until Thursday, January 17th at 4:00pm, as long as weather permits.

Flagmen may be used for some of this work. The Georgia DOT asks that motorists use caution, reduce speed, and be alert to changing traffic conditions in all work zones.
