Georgia DOT Mowing State Routes All this Week

May 13, 2013

We are in the middle of spring and the summer months are not that far off, and the Georgia Department of Transportation is doing its best to keep the roadways safe.

Taking place all this week in Elbert and surrounding counties will be routine mowing of the grass on certain state routes.

In Elbert County, mowers will be in action along State Route 77 and State Route 368.

Crews in Hart County will mow on State Routes 72 and 172; in Franklin County State Routes 51 and 59 will be cut, and finally in Madison County, State Routes 281 and 191 will see mowers in action.

Work takes place all this week up until Friday, May 17th beginning at 7:00am until 5:30pm as long as weather allows.

Motorists should reduce speed in these and all work zones encountered while traveling.
