Governor Deal Breaking Ground later Today in Toccoa

Wasting little time after the Bi-State Caucus Meeting, Governor Nathan Deal will be in Toccoa later this afternoon.

Governor Deal will take place in a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the widening of State Route 17 from the Stephens – Franklin County line to Memorial Drive in Toccoa.

The ceremony will take place at the North Georgia Technical College Currahee Campus located off of Highway 17 in Toccoa.

The groundbreaking will begin at 1:30pm.

Included in the program, along with the Governor, is Dr. Gail Thaxton – President of North Georgia Technical College, Dean Scarborough – Stephens County Commissioner, Senator John Wilkinson, and Don Grantham – Georgia DOT Board Member, Vice-Chairman and Congressional District 10 Representative.
