Making its glorious return to the downtown square in Elberton will be the annual Granite City Cook-Off, which will bring some of the best grillers from all over to one spot.
The event, which is a joint effort of the Elberton Ministerial Alliance and MainStreet Elberton, gets started around 10:00am this Saturday September 14th.
Also taking place in conjunction with the event, according to Elberton City Manager Lanier Dunn, will ElbertonNET’s customer appreciation day.
“It’s going to be a real fun day, lots of good food. ElbertonNet will be having a customer appreciation day where we will be giving out some snacks and also for our existing customers if you will come out and register to win a high definition television, a kindle fire HD, or a cordless phone system”, says Dunn.
Dunn points out something different that ElbertonNET will be doing at this year’s appreciation day.
“This year we’re only letting customers register in one registration per household” Dunn said.
Elbert and surrounding county residents are invited to attend the cook-off, as great food will be available for purchase during the event.
