Grantham Pleads Guilty to Charges from October 2000 Murder of an Elbert County Man

July 16, 2013

Guilty on all charges for 59-year-old Dana Martin Grantham of Hartwell, Georgia who pleaded guilty to charges, which stem from the October 2000 murder of an Elbert County man.

Grantham was indicted on June 28th by an Elbert County Grand Jury on two counts of Felony Murder and one count of Malice Murder in connection with the October 2000 homicide of 67-year-old Jimmy Webb of a Cromer Road address.

Grantham pleaded guilty to all three previously mentioned counts in Elbert County Superior Court yesterday morning.

With the plea, Superior Court Judge John Bailey sentenced Grantham to life in prison, which will run concurrent with any time remaining on previous sentences.

As part of pleading guilty on all counts, the State of Georgia will not seek the death penalty for Grantham.
