A great entertainment lineup was the main feature of this past Saturday’s annual Bowman Fall Festival.
According to Bowman Special Events Coordinator Pete Gibbons focusing on providing good musical entertainment proved to be worth the effort.
“I think from talking to people at the event, I think the entertainment is a big part of it. I say when there is music and good music at events like this, it definitely brings out more people and gets more people involved”, he explained. “When there is some good music going on people seem to enjoy themselves that much more, whether that means they just have a good time or spend a few more dollars with our vendors.”
When looking back at this past Saturday, the only thing Gibbons could think of that could have been better, was having more help on hand.
“Obviously, being a small town, it would have been nice to have a few more bodies on hand to help out, but I think things went according to plan”, said Gibbons. “The weather was perfect and we are just going to take what we did this past weekend and try and incorporate that into future events as well.”
Gibbons says the downtown square in Bowman saw between three and four thousand different people throughout the course of the day.
He says planning will begin not too long from now on next year’s version of the Bowman Fall Festival.
