This past Tuesday Main Street Elberton hosted its annual Candlelight Shop Night on Elberton’s Downtown Square.
Main Street Director Sissy Herring said the event went really well.
“It was great, we had a big crowd, beautiful weather, and all of our merchants were open later than normal. This was Main Street’s last event of 2012, so it was nice to go out with a bang”, said Herring.
Despite the event only lasting for two hours, Herring said that in that short time period, that there was a great turnout.
“For the entire night we had at least three or four hundred people come through the downtown area”, said Herring. “The parents and grandparents of Mrs. Betty Jo’s singers helped add to the number that came through.”
According to Herring, just about all of the vendors that were set up during the event did really well.
