May 15, 2013

The City of Elberton and Elbert County Government will continue to share the costs of a GIS database system.

The Elbert County Commission approved a motion during Monday’s meeting to continue an intergovernmental agreement for a period of three years beginning this month.

Cost of the agreement is twenty-five thousand dollars per year, but in the agreement it outlines that the city and county will split the costs, which comes out to twelve thousand five hundred dollars per year.

This agreement is an extension of a previous approval from May 2010.
