Investigation Continues on Elberton Man Facing Several Sexual Exploitation of Children Charges

April 2, 2014

Additional charges may still be coming for 43-year-old Christopher Wayne Harrison of Elberton, who remains in custody on several counts of Sexual Exploitation of Children.

According to Sherry Lang, Director of Public Affairs for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the GBI received a tip from the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children.

“The GBI executed a search warrant at Mr. Harrison’s address”, said Lang.

Harrison, of a 1589 Jaudon Road address, has been charged with seven counts of Sexual Exploitation of Children as a result of the evidence recovered by the GBI.

“They found images of child pornography on his computer, and as a result of that, he was arrested”, explained Lang.

Lang says that Harrison could potentially face more charges as the investigation into this case is ongoing.

Harrison has been denied bond, and remains in custody at the Elbert County Detention Center.

The Northern Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s office will take over the case once the GBI concludes its investigation.
