Investigation Continues on Vandalism Cases in Elberton

Elberton Police Investigators are continuing to look into a string of vandalism cases that occurred early last week.

Around 3:00am last Tuesday morning, Investigator Major Mike Seymour, said four young black males began their vandalism spree in the Edwards Street area, and eventually worked their way behind the Elberton post office.

According to Seymour one vehicle was damaged at a residence, three postal vehicles were damaged at the post office, and damage was done to items in a yard off of Edwards Street.

He says suspects have been identified through surveillance footage gathered from local convenience stores and other sources.

At this time the investigation into these vandalism cases continues.
