Lady Devils Basketball Season Ends

The Lady Devils travelled to Buford for the second round of the State Playoffs Friday.

The game started out with the two teams exchanging the lead but the Lady Wolves started pulling away midway through the first quarter and finished with a 22-8 lead. The Lady Devils did not do much better in the second quarter as Buford extended their lead to 23 with a 37-14 score going into halftime. Jimera and Cyiarra Hill both had 6 points at the half. The third quarter was not any better for the Lady Devils as the Lady Wolves were able to take their lead to 31 points with a score of 50-19. The Lady Devils were not able to stage a comeback in the fourth quarter and fail to the Buford Lady Wolves 59-25 to end the season. Jimera Hill led the Lady Devils in scoring with 9 points. The Tri-County Technical College Player of the Game was awarded to each of the seniors of the Lady Devils basketball team.

Congratulations to the Lady Devils who had a very successful year.
