Lady Devils Fall in First Round of State Playoffs

February 21, 2014

The Elbert County Lady Devils basketball team season came to an end Friday night. It was a rough offensive outing for the Lady Devils. The Decatur Lady Bulldogs jumped out quickly going up 8-1 midway through the first and would take a 27-9 lead into the locker room. Jimera Hill and Tia Rucker would have the only field goals for the Lady Devils at the half.

Coming out into the third quarter the Lady Devils still would not be able to find any offense as the Lady Bulldogs would hold a 17, 35-18, advantage heading into the final quarter. The Lady Devils would not be able to stage a miraculous comeback and would end their season with a 41-23 loss.

Just a reminder the Blue Devils will be in action on Saturday, February 22nd to take on St. Pius in the Inferno at 6:00. That game can be heard live on 105.3 WSGC and online at wsgcradio.com.
