Lady Devils Pick Up First Win of Threads Tournament in Threads Tourney

August 18, 2012

For the final game in the Toccoa tournament, the Elbert County Lady Devils softball team faced off against the East Jackson Eagles. The first three innings remained scoreless as no team could quite manage to get in a run. But our Lady Devils picked things up in the 3rd inning when they scored two runs while they had two outs. In the 4th inning, our team got another two runs under the same circumstances; while they had two outs. East Jackson had yet to score a run and it remained that way for the rest of the game. Unfortunately our Lady Devils didn’t score any more runs either so the final score for the game was Elbert County with 4 runs and East Jackson with 0. Olivia Ruff and Caroline Almond are being recognized as the players of the game.
