Sandy Adams, Adaptive P.E. teacher and Friends Helping Friends coordinator announces this recent year as her last.
Adams taught for thirty years in Elbert County. Ten years at Beaverdam Elementary and 19 at Elbert County Comprehensive High School during this time she served as P.E. teacher, Aerobic dance teacher, Tennis coach and starting an unbelievable club better known as Friends Helping Friends which helps students who have extra special needs.
Adams says how blessed she’s been from this club and how this club will be expanding.
“I’ve been so incredibly blessed to be apart of a program like this, and I am so excited that places like Madison, Hart, Franklin, and even down in Macon, GA; so many school systems have contacted me wanting to start Friends Helping Friends in their school system”, said Adams. “I am just blessed to have been a part of it.”
Adams will not completely shy away from this club she will be helping out in any way that she can with the club along with the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Program where she serves as a board member.
