Elberton’s newest funeral home is now officially open for business.
Darrin Rucker, with Mack’s Funeral Home, says they have actually been open since last Tuesday.
“It was a project that was put together last year. Finally everything came together. Mack’s Funeral Home Elberton Chapel was given a new establishment number from the secretary of state office, where we were opened for business last Tuesday” says Rucker.
A unique thing about the construction of the Elberton branch of Mack’s Funeral Home is that they focused on using a local contractor for the work, and Rucker said they were grateful for their work.
“We absolutely want to think our Builder, Brady Builders here in Elberton Ga. of course we try to keep things local here in town of course that’s a big issue to try to keep some local business here, we applaud them along with the founder and also the owner Allen Eppinger and his wife Gwen they’re very excited to be here in Elberton Ga.” says Rucker.
He also talks about some of the factors that led to the Eppingers deciding to locate a business in Elberton.
“We had a lot of prayers, a lot of encouragement about bringing in a new facility here, so we’re here and we hope that people will use our services” says Rucker.
Mack’s Funeral Home was established in 1976 with the intent for providing profession and quality services to Hart, Elbert, Franklin, and other northeast Georgia counties.
According to Rucker, a grand opening ceremony is scheduled in the future, but an exact date has not yet been set.
