Mainstreet Elberton is preparing for their 16th Annual Cruise- In and Classic Car Show coming up in just under two weeks.
Assistant Director of Community Affairs for Elberton Tiffany Gibbons says there will be something for everyone.
“In addition to the Mainstreet downtown restaurants, our vendors will have things like boiled peanuts, funnel cakes, and things you can’t find in the restaurants”, said Gibbons. “You can dine early and then come to the car show and get you a treat there, and listen to some music.”
She also mentions other activities being held for those in attendance at the car show.
“We will also have door prizes, and we will be doing a 50/50 raffle which will be open to everyone”, explains Gibbons. “Half of the proceeds will go towards the Mainstreet fund and the other half will go to the winner, who gets to go home with a little extra money in their pockets.”
There will be no admission charged for the general public to attend the event.
Those interested in entering the car show however, will have to pay a $20 entry fee and that fee will includes a t-shirt.
The car show will be held on Saturday July 13th from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Elberton’s Downtown Square.
Prizes given out to participants will be in the following categories; Owners Choice, Crowd Favorite and Classic Car Division which is for cars 25 years or older.
