Man Wanted in Marietta Shooting Arrested in Franklin County

A Cobb County man, wanted in connection with a shooting over the weekend is behind bars after being in Franklin County.

According to Franklin County Sheriff Stevie Thomas, the arrest came Sunday morning at a truck stop off Exit 160 in Carnesville.

Sitting inside the white Mustang was the suspect Cobb authorities were searching for.

He is identified as 41-year old William Dennis DeVore III of Marietta.

According to Thomas, his deputies also found another gun inside Devore’s car.

Devore is facing two counts of felony aggravated assault and one count of aggravated battery stemming from the shooting of a man and woman in Marietta.

He was arrested without incident and taken to the Franklin County Sheriff’s office Sunday, then later transported back to Cobb County.
