More Georgia DOT Work Scheduled for Wilkes County

The Georgia Department of Transportation announces a slew of work that is scheduled to take place this week along state routes in Wilkes County.

On State Route 47 cracks in the highway will be sealed between mile markers seven and eight.

Guardrail maintenance is also scheduled to take place along State Routes 10 and 44. Close to forty miles of roadways will have their guardrails checked and replaced if needed.

Work is tentatively scheduled between 8:00am and 4:00pm from Today until Thursday, November 29th, as long as weather permits.

Flagmen may be utilized for some of the work that is scheduled. Motorists are asked to use caution, reduce speed, and be alert to changing traffic conditions in any work zones that they encounter.
