Mrs. Mary Beth Kay King, 85, of 2012 College Ave, Elberton, died Peacefully Saturday, October 27 at Elbert Memorial Hospital.
Born on July 30, 1927 in Hartwell, Ga, she was the daughter of the late Roy Kay and Nora Anderson Kay. She was a homemaker and a member of the Concord United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond D. King of the home; a son, David King and his wife Debbie of Elberton; a daughter, Jan Eavenson and her husband Ronnie of Elberton; a brother Virgil Kay and his wife Jane of Hartwell; a sister, Jo Ann Skelton of Hartwell; four grandchildren, Toni King, Katrina King, Kevin Eavenson and Kelly E Coker; two great-grandchildren also survive, Brendon Coker and Addison Coker. Mrs. King was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law; Kenneth Skelton.
Funeral services will be Monday, October 29, 2012 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home, with Rev Bill Eaton and Jan Akin officiating. Burial will be in the Concord United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3:00 PM Monday prior to the service. The family is at their respective homes.
