, of Elberton, wife of the late Thomas Frank “Tot” Maxwell, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at Elbert Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Maxwell was born in Wilkes County on March 25, 1921, daughter of the late Shelton Tucker and Almeta Porterfield Tucker Mann and stepdaughter of the late Santford Mann. She was a retired bookkeeper for Allen Granite Company after 36 years of service and a member of First Baptist Church of Elberton.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Linda M. Paul and her husband Elliott of Elberton; grandchildren, Mary Jill P. McElroy and her husband Sam of Winterville, Janet Lynn P. Walters and her husband James and Robert Elliott “Bob” Paul, Jr., all of Elberton; four great-grandchildren, Robert Nicholas Fleischer and his wife Jessica, James Nathan Walters, Jillian Kate Walters, and Samuel Lucas McElroy; and two-great-grandchildren, Shiloh Eleese Fleischer and Robert Nicholas Fleischer, Jr.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her brother, Thompson H. Mann.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Friday, February 28, at 2:00p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Revs. Raymond Scott and Gary Purvis officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
The family is at the home of Elliott & Linda Paul, 1248 Grady Cleveland Road, and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00p.m. on Thursday evening.
Flowers are optional and memorials may be made in her memory to First Baptist Church of Elberton.
