New County Economic Executive Director Appointed to JDANEG

Elbert County has a new representative on the Joint Development Authority of Northeast Georgia.

Former Economic Director Anna Grant Jones was the county’s representative, but with her recent resignation, that left a vacant space on that authority.

With the hiring of Beth Evanson, who began work as Elbert County’s new Economic Director yesterday, that gave a representative for Elbert County on the authority.

During a called meeting yesterday, the Elbert County Board of Commissioners approved the appointment of Beth Evanson to the Joint Development Authority of Northeast Georgia with a unanimous 3-0 vote; Commissioners Harold Reynolds and Freddie Jones were not present at the meeting.
