The two newest members of the Elbert Memorial Hospital Authority board are now official.
During the authority’s January meeting, which was pushed back to this past Tuesday due to inclement weather, board members Daniel Graves and Scott Wilson were sworn in.
Reading the oath to the pair was Authority Chairman Jim Lloyd.
“Do solemnly swear that I will to the best of my ability without favor or affection to any person, or without any unauthorized financial gain or compensation to myself faithfully and fairly discharge all the duties and responsibilities that devolve upon me as a member of the Elbert Memorial Hospital Authority during the term of my service and as such a member”, read Lloyd.
Both Mr. Graves and Mr. Wilson accepted their oath.
Relating to new board members, the authority approved a motion to accept a letter of recommendation from the City of Bowman for their respective nominee to the board.
Ms. Gail Lavender was chosen by the city to serve on the hospital authority, and Ms. Lavender will be invited to attend the next meeting, which is scheduled for the final Tuesday of February.
