Still no sign of a teenager missing from his home in Hart County for over two weeks.
16-year old Harold Wayne Ackerman was last seen at his Bowen Road home in Hartwell on June 26th.
On Wednesday, Hart County Sheriff Mike Cleveland said Ackerman has not been in contact with family or friends since.
“We thought at first he might be with friends over in South Carolina because his dad is from South Carolina,” Cleveland said. “But apparently they have made contact with friends and family over there where he could have gone and they have not seen him.”
According to his parents, it is unlike the teen to be gone for so long without calling his parents or letting someone know he’s okay.
Cleveland said right now, authorities do not suspect foul play, but they are asking for the public’s help to locate Ackerman.
“If anyone has seen him within the last eight to ten days, we are asking they either contact our office or his parents,” Cleveland said. “They are worried about him and we’re concerned about it. So if they could call and let us know where they may have seen him last.”
Wayne Ackerman is described as a white male, approximately 5’10” tall, 168lbs with brown hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information about the teen might be should call the Hart County Sheriff’s office at 706-376-3114 or your local 911.
You do not have to give your name.
