Just over a week remains to register for an education workshop for those interested in backyard poultry.
On January 16th, in Comer, GA the Madison County Extension Office is hosting an education workshop for backyard/small flock poultry owners at the Comer Travel Museum.
Speakers at the event will include Dr. Casey Ritz, UGA Poultry Scientist and Jim Adkins, Director for the Sustainable Poultry Network from Old Fort, NC.
Numerous topics will be discussed such as heritage breeds, breed selection, poultry health, and nutrition.
Cost is twenty dollars per person to participate, and pre-registration is required to attend; the event will begin at 5:30pm on January 16th.
