Investigators in the shooting death of the co-owner of FPS Industries LLC are closer to making an arrest.
That’s according to Franklin County Sheriff Stevie Thomas.
32-year old Keith Ratliff, was found shot to death at his business on Hayes Road on January 3, 2013. His body was discovered in an office by friends who notified the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office. Thomas said Ratliff was pronounced dead at the scene.
GBI Agent in Charge Mike Ayers said numerous firearms were present at the Ratliff residence, but not the weapon used to kill him. Thomas said Tuesday; they now have persons of interest in that case.
“We have not made an arrest. They have people of interest that are associated with the victim, and they are interviewing them now. That is all we have at this time”, said Thomas.
Ratliff was co-owner of FPS Industries, which is concerned with the development and production of firearms and related items.
The case is being investigated jointly by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, and other federal agencies.
