Retail gas prices climbed as 2012 came to an end.

A resolution to avoid the fiscal cliff has been implemented, and now motorists are likely to see pump prices increase for an extended period of time as the positive news is sure to create economic optimism in the market.

The national average price of regular unleaded gasoline is $3.29, 4 cents more than last week. Georgia’s average of $3.25 rose 7 cents respectively.

$3.19 is the cheapest price for regular unleaded in Elbert County, and $3.23 is the low price for retail gasoline in Wilkes County.
