Road Work Continues in Lincoln and Wilkes Counties

The Georgia Department of Transportation announces that work continues this week in Lincoln and Wilkes Counties.

Crews in Lincoln County will conduct litter clean-up and shoulder maintenance to reclaim right of way on State Route 79. The work will occur from mile marker one to mile marker 19.

In Wilkes County, maintenance work is scheduled on two state routes; State Route 10 and 47.

Work will begin at 8:00am and last until 4:00pm until Thursday, February 14th.

A single lane closure and/or flagmen may be used for this work. Motorists are asked to use caution, reduce their speed and be alert to changing traffic conditions in work zones.
