A slew of local governmental meetings are set to take place this evening as the Christmas and New Year’s holidays approach.
At 5:30pm, the Elbert County Board of Education will hold their final meeting of the calendar year. A vote in regards to the Mountain Education Center is expected to be taken. The board will meet in the meeting room at the Board of Education building off of Laurel Drive.
In Calhoun Falls, South Carolina, the town council will gather to further discuss their strategic economical plan to help bring more revenue into the town, which has been hit hard since the closing of the Mohawk Textile plant back in September. The council will meet at the Calhoun Falls Civic Center at 6:00pm.
And last, but certainly not least, the City of Bowman will hold their final regular meeting of the year. More discussion is expected to take place about the city’s limb pick up service. The council will meet at Bowman City Hall at 7:00pm.
All of these meetings will be open for the public to attend.
