Some slightly better financial news out of last night’s Elbert Memorial Hospital Authority meeting.
In the month of August the hospital generated a net revenue loss of two hundred and three thousand dollars.
According to Chief Financial Officer Larry Magers, the month of September was a bit better, as the hospital posted a net loss of one hundred and thirty-nine thousand dollars.
Magers pointed out that the hospital is also down about two hundred patient days through the same time period as last year; while the hospital has lost seventy thousand more in revenue in the same time frame.
Pay role expenses have been an issue heavily focused on by the hospital administration, and so far since September 1st, Magers said there has been an eighty-four thousand dollar reduction in those expenses, all while not laying off any hospital employees.
