Some recent studies have shown that new health problems are beginning to surface before the age of 18.
Young children could be at a huge risk of developing heart disease, diabetes and other life threatening medical problems, even death in some cases.
In light of these recent studies, an educational program will be held later this evening at the Elbert County Emergency Services Complex.
The presentation will include discussion on topics such as how much fast food your child eats and how much exercise your child is getting weekly, along with the amount of food and activity combined.
Guest speaker for this evening will be Keith Willis, Elbert County Paramedic who recently lost his son at an early age due to heart disease & hypertension.
The program will begin at 6:00pm, and will be open for the community to attend at no cost.
