Mainstreet Elberton’s presentation of the 16th Annual Cruise- In and Classic Car Show is coming up this weekend.
Assistant Director of Community Affairs for Elberton Tiffany Gibbons says it’s an event that will have something for everyone.
“In addition to the Mainstreet downtown restaurants, our vendors will have things like boiled peanuts, funnel cakes, and things you can’t find in the restaurants”, said Gibbons. “You can dine early and then come to the car show and get you a treat there, and listen to some music.”
There will be no admission charged for the general public to attend the event.
Those interested in entering the car show however, will have to pay a $20 entry fee and that fee will includes a t-shirt.
Gibbons mentions some other activities that are being held for those in attendance.
“We will also have door prizes, and we will be doing a 50/50 raffle which will be open to everyone”, explains Gibbons. “Half of the proceeds will go towards the Mainstreet fund and the other half will go to the winner, who gets to go home with a little extra money in their pockets.”
The car show begins Saturday July 13th at 6:00, and will run until 9:00 p.m. on Elberton’s Downtown Square.
Pre-registration is still going on, and if you are interested in registering your vehicle for the show contact Tiffany Gibbons at 706-213-3204, Email her at [email protected] or stop by her office located inside of Elberton City Hall.
