A 4-wheeler reported missing since the middle of January has been recovered by the Elbert County Sheriff’s Department.
On January 16th the 4-wheeler was reported missing from a Calhoun Falls Highway residence.
Late last week, a routine probation check in at an Elberton residence led to the 4-wheeler being located.
Initially the ATV was unable to be properly identified, but the original owner was brought it, and was able to identify the vehicle based on some work that had been done to it.
24-year-old Steven Kyle Whitlow of an Elberton address was in possession of the ATV, and was charged with Felony Theft by Receiving Stolen Property on Wednesday.
After being arrested, Whitlow was transported to the Elbert County Detention Center, and has been released on bond.
