The Franklin County Sheriff’s office is asking for the public’s help in locating one of two suspects wanted in connection with an armed robbery last week in the Gumlog Community outside of Lavonia.
Franklin County Sheriff Stevie Thomas said Wednesday they now know the name of the suspect.
He is identified as 26-year old Reco Marshall of Toccoa.
“Reco is wanted by the Franklin County Sheriff’s office for the offense of armed robbery,” Thomas said Wednesday. “Reco is described as a black male, 26 years old, 6’1” tall and weighing 165lbs. Reco is considered armed and dangerous.”
Thomas said Marshall was last seen Tuesday night in Gainesville, GA.
The armed robbery happened the afternoon of July 29th at a home off Gumlog Road.
Investigators say Marshall and another suspect, described as a white male with blonde cropped hair, blue eyes, and tattoos, held up a man and his girlfriend at the man’s home at gunpoint.
Shots were fired, but the victims were not hurt.
Marshall and the second suspect got away in a tan colored Mercury, which Thomas said was later recovered in Stephens County.
Thomas said Marshall could also be hiding out in South Carolina.
“Reco is from the Toccoa area, but it is believed he may be in the Liberty, SC area or Central, SC. All help will be appreciated,” Thomas said.
Anyone with information as to Marshal’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Franklin County Sheriff’s office at 706-384-2525 or your local 911.
You do not have to give your name.
