Three Elberton residents are facing drug charges after a traffic stop towards the end of 2013.
According to the incident report, on December 30th, 2013 around 8:00pm, a traffic stop was conducted off of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
Through further investigation at the scene, officers with the Elberton Police Department arrested the vehicle’s driver and two passengers on drug charges.
The driver, 39-year-old Donald O’Neal Davis of Bullards Ferry Road, faces charges of Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Drug Related Objects, Second Degree Forgery, and Tail Light/Tag Required.
The passengers, 54-year-old Ladonna Lynn Wilder of Bakers Ferry Road and 38-year-old Claude Burton of Rice Circle, were arrested on charges of Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute and Possession of Cocaine.
Burton is also facing an additional felony charge of Tampering with Evidence.
All three were transported to the Elbert County Detention Center following their arrests.
Burton and Wilder have since been released on bond, but Davis is still behind bars on the previously mentioned charges, though his bond has been set at $30,000.
